The rich history. Eastwick Barn was owned by the Earl of Eastwick in the 13th Century, and is even mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Our careful conversion of the barn means the original character remains.

The fabulous garden. Looking out across the beautiful Sussex Downs, the garden at Patcham is a peaceful haven for you. Many of the residents enjoy helping to maintain the stunning gardens.

The home-cooked food. Our chefs are completely committed to providing varied, nutritious and delicious menus, prepared by hand using home-cooked food and locally sourced ingredients.

The friendly atmosphere. Patcham benefits from a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere. Our staff combine humour and kindness with the highest possible professional standards.

Our promise to you…

A personal approach

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to live permanently or just need some short-term respite or convalescent care, our team is committed to tailoring their support to your specific needs and personal preferences.

Always open

Although our care team will strive to build a strong relationship with you, we know nothing can replace a visit from friends or family.

Quality assured

All of our care homes are regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission, to ensure that the high standards we strive to achieve are maintained at all times. In addition to this we have our own Governance Manager who supports the team in complying with all regulatory practices.

“92 with vascular dementia and immobile she is washed and cleaned daily, given the opportunity to wear any clothing she wants, her dignity is kept. Her food requirements mean she’s feed with help of others, the encouragement and patience with my grandmother is impeccable. The nursing home is split into two levels with high dependent upstairs. She loves her new home.
She gets her hair done and care staff paint her nails. Her medical needs are met and local doctors are always on hand. Staff are impeccable.
I feel my grandmother is in a safe place with call bells and locked doors safeguarding her.
I have regular communication with the team there.
I drop by night and day due to my working shifts they are not only consistent but her paper work is up to date.
They keep time date record like a hospital, they allow me to see her food / fluid intake, her toilet habits, her mood, her personal hygiene and any concerns this means they are proactive with her care.”

“Thank you all for the way you cared for me – everyone was so kind and I was very happy during my stay with Patcham. If I ever need to return to full-time care, I would choose Patcham in a heartbeat.”

“I could not wish for a more caring team or for a nicer place for mum to live. The help and advice you gave in working out the funding and doing mum’s care assessment was second to none.”

“Patcham is very welcoming and the staff excellent. My mother receives first-class care and is treated with dignity and respect. She has been resident since April 2013, sadly her condition has deteriorated, however she is always kept comfortable and clean. The home is kept spotless by the cleaning staff, is well-maintained and the kitchen staff and standard of food/service is terrific.”

“Activities too, are well organised and relevant, often themed to the time of year or towards a special anniversary/event.”

“Management are always on hand should any problem or difficulty arise and any concerns are dealt with promptly and respectfully.”

“I would wholeheartedly recommend Patcham Nursing Home to anyone.

Patcham Nursing Home always has an up-beat atmosphere, usually cheerful music playing. Very clean and airy (no ‘care-home smell’). Staff very caring. Good activities and the best food and care I can imagine.

“My mother was admitted 2/12/14 and is still there to date. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff are excellent, kind, helpful and caring to all. The grounds are superb, food good, excellent laundry service. Activities are plentiful and the management are first class. I think my mother is extremely lucky to have been allowed a room here for the final months of her life as a family we could not be happier.”
