Residents at Featherton House enjoyed a memorable morning of music and theatre when performer Marak visited the home to host a special Phantom of the Opera themed session.
During the visit, Marak spoke to residents about the famous musical, sharing insights about the story and the world of opera. He also performed a selection of beautiful the musicalβs songs, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the home.
To bring the theme to life, Marak brought along a collection of theatrical masks, wigs and props, giving residents the chance to see and handle items often used in stage productions. The display added an interactive element to the session and sparked plenty of conversation.
Residents also took part in a creative activity, decorating their own masks inspired by the famous Phantom of the Opera designs. Using colours and patterns, residents created their own unique pieces while chatting and enjoying the music throughout the session.
Hilda Sanyikaat, manager at Featherton House said: βIt was a fantastic morning and everyone really enjoyed it. Marakβs performance was beautiful and the props and costumes made it even more special for residents.β
